The Cat is out of the Bag

Hi everyone! If you are reading this blog, then you already know our exciting news – Brian and I are having a baby! Yep – our little one should be making his or her arrival around February 12, 2010 – our own little Valentine’s Day baby!

We are both so excited to start this new chapter of our life and wanted to start this blog so that you can all share this special time with us!

To give you all an update on what has been going on so far…

We found out we were expecting right at the beginning of June, and although we had been trying for a while – this was the one month we decided to NOT try and look what happened! Our first doctor appointment was back on June 17^th and that was the first time we got to see our little one and even hear the heart beat! He/She had a very strong heartbeat of 184, which already convinced Brian that we are having a boy! Lets hope he does not jinx anything!

We have since had two more doctor appointments and everything has looked good! Right now, I am officially 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant and according to my handy-dandy iPhone application, our baby is as big as a Plum right now!

So far – I have been feeling OK during this pregnancy. I am definitely tired all the time and usually fall asleep on the couch every night around 8/9. I have not had any “morning sickness” – more like all-day-off-and-on-feel-like-i-might-puke sickness. I guess I should be thankful, because it could be a lot worse!

As we get further and further along in this pregnancy, we will try our best to update you on what is going on in our life – whether it be doctor appointments, baby shopping, belly pictures or just random pregnant woman ramblings! I hope you all enjoy getting a glimpse into what is going on with Baby McDermott!
