In June, we were lucky enough to be able to bring James on our family vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico. For one glorious week, we enjoyed some fun in the sun and got to experience what it is like to travel with a little one!
(And did I mention ALL the stuff you have to bring for a baby! We had a car seat, a stroller, a travel pack n play, the bouncer, and not to mention all his clothes, diapers and formula! I think James had the most stuff out of everyone!)
James spent most of his vacation doing the things he loves the most...
He did a lot of napping...
And a lot of swimming with Daddy...
and some more swimming...
and of course... a lot of eating!
James also got to experience touching sand for the first time! At first, he seemed to enjoy it...
and on second thought... I do not think he liked it too much!
Although vacations with a four-month old are not nearly as relaxing as previous vacations have been - we all had a great time. James did pretty good on the plane ride down there (the plane ride home is another story) and he seemed to adjust well to the beach life! The staff at the hotel loved him and was always talking to him and of course - Jamie loved ALL the attention. The best was every morning at breakfast, the waiters would look at James and tell him "no mas tequila for you!" and he would get a big 'ol grin!
James especially loved spending time in the pool. He went swimming about two times each day and I think it must have wore him out - because he slept 9 hours straight one night! That was the first time he had EVER slept that long!
While he was pretty happy and content most of the trip, there was definitely had a few cranky nights where we ended up staying in earlier than expected - but it worked out nicely because I actually got some much needed rest! I think all in all - he did pretty good for his first trip and I look forward to our next trip now that we have some experience under our belt!

Thanks again Pop Pop and Grandma Sharon for the trip! It was wonderful and we had an amazing time and cannot wait to do it again!
